Well I think that her parents thinks that Melinda is not speaking is not speaking is because they don’t ask her what is wrong also they are not home that much to ask how is she so I think that Melinda doesn’t think that her parents don’t care what she does and I think the principal also the counselor thinks that Melinda is going through a lot because the counselor ask Melinda’s father if there going through marriage problems then Melinda’s dad got quiet so the counselor understand why Melinda is so quiet in school now with Melinda well I think the meeting kinda help her because the Principal and the counselor knows something what go’s on at home so Melinda feels kinda better that someone knows what go’s at home.

I agree with I think that the reason and another one is her being raped and knowing that the person that raped her is in the same school as her.
I disagree with you if her parents asked her whats wrong then she would just say nothing and go in her room she just needs to open up or go seek some professional help.
Shaunda, I agree with you when you say that the meeting helped her. She's actually starting to attend school again and is understanding the class. I think the real meaning of the meeting was pointless, but the fact that Melinda isn't skipping school is a good start.
